From: Simon Glass <sjg(a)chromium.org> This series makes Ubuntu live ISOs bootable through U-Boot on x86, using U-Boot's BOOTMETH_BLS to pick up a Boot Loader Specification Type #1 entry from the EFI system partition instead of chain-loading shim and GRUB. The first six patches are build fixes uncovered when compiling the recently merged ISO 9660 driver (fsc series) for x86. Four of them switch the direct <asm-generic/atomic.h> includes over to <asm/atomic.h> so each architecture's per-arch header wins; one adds the atomic_dec_and_test() primitive that was missing from the x86 atomic header; one pulls <linux/blk_types.h> in explicitly for REQ_OP_READ; and one guards a journal_head dereference under CONFIG_FS_EXT4L so linux_fs.c still builds when ext4l is disabled. The last four patches add the user-facing pieces. The efi-x86_app64 defconfig gains CONFIG_BOOTMETH_BLS, CONFIG_FS_ISOFS and CONFIG_JOLIET so the EFI app can read an ISO 9660 filesystem and honour BLS entries out of the box. A new scripts/ubuntu-iso-to-uboot.py helper rewrites an Ubuntu live ISO in place, replacing its appended EFI system partition with a fresh one containing u-boot-app.efi, a BLS entry and the casper kernel/initrd, while preserving every other boot record (BIOS El Torito, grub2 MBR, GPT layout) so the ISO still boots on legacy hosts. Finally, doc/usage/os/ubuntu-live.rst walks through the full build-and-boot flow, including a QEMU+OVMF recipe that exercises the result. The first seven patches add Linux header stubs needed by the isofs driver: filesystem magic numbers, an unaligned access redirect, NLS character conversion, ISO 9660 on-disk structures, a dentry operations field, a buffer_head mapping helper, and block device I/O fields on struct block_device. A small ext4l fix follows, making alloc_inode_sb() actually allocate instead of returning NULL. The core of the series moves the buffer cache and block I/O code from ext4l to a shared fs/linux_fs.c, then ports the Linux kernel isofs driver with minimal source changes. A compatibility header stubs out kernel infrastructure, following the same approach as ext4l. The driver supports Rock Ridge extensions (POSIX long filenames, permissions, symbolic links) and Joliet extensions (Unicode filenames). Both the legacy filesystem interface (load, size) and the VFS layer (mount, ls, cat) are supported. The series includes a pytest suite that creates a small ISO image and exercises ls, cat, load, size, cd and nested path access. [PATCH 00/33] Fix memory leaks and test pollution in sandbox tests

From: Simon Glass <sjg(a)chromium.org> Running the full sandbox test suite with leak checking (-M) exposes several classes of bugs: the mcheck allocation registry overflows after ~40 tests, driver-model state leaks ~640 chunks per 'ut' command, stale pointers are left behind by tests that do not clean up, and heap fragmentation breaks tests that assume a clean arena. This series addresses each layer: - mcheck tooling: bump the registry, expose overflow/count/largest-free APIs, and report them from 'malloc info' - DM state save/restore: implement the documented (but missing) save/restore of the global driver-model state around UTF_DM tests, eliminating the per-command leak - Driver leak fixes: free resources in remove paths for virtio, USB, blk, bootdev, bootctl, and expo/cedit - Test pollution fixes: clear stale bootflows, reset video sync/font state, dispose live trees, and clean up DM state in tests that leave it dirty There are still quite a few leaks remaining, but this series makes a significant improvement. The first few patches prepare the ground: converting block I/O from the legacy blk_dread() / blk_dwrite() interface to blk_read() / blk_write() with struct udevice, collecting scattered globals into a struct ext4l_state, and renaming for consistency. The core of the series adds a struct ext4l_state parameter to ext4l_mount() and all public functions, with legacy wrappers for the single-mount fs_legacy interface. Each UCLASS_FS device stores its own state in priv_auto. The final patches route block I/O through the superblock's block_device rather than global variables, make the buffer cache per-device, and move cache clearing into ext4l_free_sb() so unmounting one filesystem does not corrupt another's cached buffers. The root cause is the delta computation: set subtraction of two write_min_config() outputs (full_min - base_min) is incorrect because write_min_config() output depends on Kconfig defaults, which change based on which symbols are set. This series fixes the delta by filtering against the include files' textual entries, preserves the original defconfig ordering to minimise diffs, verifies correctness by loading the result through kconfiglib, and skips cosmetic-only changes entirely. Also add qconfig tests to CI so they run alongside the other tool tests. [PATCH 00/34] Add a virtual filesystem (VFS) layer to U-Boot

It introduces UCLASS_MOUNT to represent mount points and builds on the existing UCLASS_FS and UCLASS_DIR infrastructure. The VFS supports mounting ext4 (both the original and ext4l drivers) and FAT filesystems from block devices, with path resolution, current working directory, tab completion, and boot integration. A full set of commands is provided: mount, umount, ls, load, save, cat, stat, size, df, mkdir, rm, mv, ln, cp, cd, pwd, tree and source. The load command detects legacy syntax and falls through to the legacy handler, so boot scripts using 'load mmc 0:1 ...' continue to work. VFS is currently enabled only for the sandbox board (not sandbox_flattree or sandbox_noinst) to maintain legacy command test coverage. Legacy filesystem tests use boardspec('!sandbox') so they run on sandbox_flattree but skip on sandbox.
